The UK has a product recall problem. Too many recalled products stay in people's homes because most consumers never see the notice. Not because companies don't publish — but because the systems for reaching people simply don't work well enough.

ESG Messages was built to change that. We operate a live recall platform — running in the US today, with the UK launching next — and we give businesses the tools to publish their safety notices in a way that is transparent, timestamped and public.

We believe product safety is not just a compliance exercise. It is a governance obligation, a social responsibility, and — when handled well — a genuine demonstration of trust that builds long-term brand value.

Built from years of watching the system fail consumers

We began aggregating UK product recall data in one place, making it easier for consumers to find notices that were buried across government sites, trading standards pages and individual manufacturer websites.

2019

The corporate opportunity becomes clear

Companies began asking how they could improve their recall response rates. We realised the consumer platform and the corporate compliance challenge were two sides of the same problem.

2021

ESG Messages founded

With ESG reporting becoming a boardroom priority, we created a dedicated corporate proposition — helping businesses turn their recall obligations into auditable ESG disclosures.

2024

We consolidated our consumer platforms under a single brand to improve search visibility as the foundation for our corporate proposition.

ESG compliance dashboard — in development

We are building a full compliance reporting suite, giving UK businesses a dashboard to manage notices, track consumer reach and generate ESG-ready reports aligned to GRI and SASB frameworks.
